JANESVILLE, Wis., Dec. 9 (UPI) -- A Janesville, Wis., woman plowed her car through a plate-glass window into a YMCA Thursday and stopped just feet from the swimming pool's deep end.

Police found Cheryl Grice, 60, and her 2002 Buick Rendezvous inside the pool area of the athletic facility at about 5:40 a.m., the Janesville Gazette reported. Grice was not injured.

"She was coming to attend class at the YMCA, pulling into a stall and indicated there was a problem with the vehicle accelerating," said Sgt. John W. Olsen.

There were no witnesses to the accident and no one was in the pool at the time.

ACE Wrecker Service managed to tow the vehicle, the front end of which had come to rest on a starting block, out of the building without incurring further damage to the YMCA.
