NEW YORK, Oct. 23 (UPI) -- The actor who played Captain Kirk on the original "Star Trek" TV series has decided to promote Heinz ketchup at a New York appearance.

William Shatner, best known as the Emmy Award-winning actor of the ABC-TV series, will help launch Heinz Ketchup Celebrity Talking Labels during a Sothby's auction Sunday.

The event features four Celebrity Talking Label bottles, each hand-encrusted with more than 5,000 Swarovski crystals.

Each label features an autograph and quote from the celebrities: movie star sensation Lindsay Lohan, two-time Olympic soccer gold-medal winner Mia Hamm, football Hall of Famer Terry Bradshaw and Shatner.

The newest series of Heinz Ketchup Celebrity Talking Labels, available in 24- and 36-ounce bottles, expresses each star's personality with their quotes about Heinz ketchup.

Shatner's ketchup bottle announces Heinz Ketchup "Fixes Burgers at Warp Speed."
