AUSTIN, Oct. 10 (UPI) -- The Texas-based Lance Armstrong Foundation, the charity of cancer survivor Lance Armstrong, cannot meet the demand for its "Wear Yellow" campaign.

"Live Strong" yellow wristbands have become the latest fashion accessory for Serena Williams and Bruce Willis, as well as U.S. presidential candidate Sen. John Kerry and President George W. Bush.

The yellow plastic bracelet -- yellow for the jersey of the Tour de France leader, the cycling contest in France that Armstrong has won six times -- costs $1, the Washington Post reported.

The money is donated to the Lance Armstrong Foundation, which is committed to addressing the long-term emotional and physical consequences that accompany a cancer diagnosis and treatment.

Armstrong, who was diagnosed seven years ago with cancer and given a 40 percent chance of survival, designed the band, which incorporates the motto "Live Strong."

So far, the foundation has filled 17 million orders, but more than 2 million orders have been arriving each week.

The foundation Web site says there is currently a 3 to 4 week shipping delay on all orders.
