MILFORD, Mich., Oct. 8 (UPI) -- Michigan's Milford Beauties, who hit it big with a 2001 nude calendar, are back to once again bare it all -- well, most of it -- for a cause.

The Beauties are community activists with a unique way of drawing attention to their projects. They are "willing to give of themselves for the community," said Judith Reiter, president of the Milford Historical Society.

The group's first calendar raised more than $30,000 and was exported by request to people in Guam, Japan and England.

The new calendar, "Milford Beauties BUFFet," features women in groups, in pairs and solo with strategically placed hubcaps, restaurant menus and even a giant fake fish in an 18-month calendar designed to raise cash to restore the old Ford Powerhouse.

The historic society is trying to raise $750,000 to restore the graceful Art Deco hydroelectric plant, designed by architect Albert Kahn in 1939 to provide power for a nearby Ford carburetor factory.
