CHICAGO, Oct. 3 (UPI) -- A Kentucky company says a rival stole its patented idea for a glove designed to pick up pet poop.

Intelligent Products Inc. of Rabbit Hash, Ky., sued Chicago-based Cygany in Cincinnati federal court, claiming Cygany is selling copycat gloves, the Chicago Tribune reported Sunday. Cygany declined to comment on the lawsuit.

Intelligent Products makes the Mutt Mitt, a plastic glove dispensed from boxes mounted on poles along sidewalks and in parks.

"We sell them to parks all across the country," said Charlie Hotchkiss, marketing director for Intelligent Products, which is seeking an injunction to stop Cygany from selling its product and for unspecified damages.
