OKLAHOMA CITY, Oct. 1 (UPI) -- A man who attempted to rob an Oklahoma City gas station with a metal pipe was arrested after he left a wallet full of identification behind on the counter.

KFOR-TV reports that James Hill left the gas station in a hurry Monday night after the clerk, while opening a cash register drawer, set off an alarm. Police who discovered the wallet broadcast Hill's description and a description of his car, which was pulled over about 10 minutes later.

Hill and the alleged get-away driver, Timothy Merideth, face up to 20 years in prison if they are convicted.
