WAUKESHA, Wis., Sept. 30 (UPI) -- A Wisconsin man was in jail Thursday accused of having his 6-year-old son steer their car down a freeway because he was too drunk to drive.

Paul J. Roland of Muskego was arrested after another motorist noticed erratic driving, the car at times veering onto the gravel shoulder, and the boy's hands on the steering wheel, the Milwaukee Journal-Sentinel said.

Police said the car zigzagged down the highway at speeds up to 70 mph.

Officers said Roland, who was convicted of drunken driving in 2002, failed a Breathalyzer test.
