BERLIN, June 10 (UPI) -- Germany's chancellor reportedly is unhappy with a new TV drama that centers on a fictitious German leader's affair with a cleaning lady.

The subject of Chancellor Gerhard Schroeder's ire is "Kiss Me Chancellor," a drama that aired Wednesday on state channel ARD, the Times of London reported Thursday.

While in production, the German leader reportedly refused to allow director Ulrich Stark to film inside the Chancellery, insiders said, adding he is not pleased by the romantic comedy.

In "Kiss Me," the leader, played by Robert Atzorn, accidently crashes his motorcycle into a cleaning lady, igniting a relationship that involves acrobatic office sex and breakfast with the woman's illegitimate sons.

Schroeder has a history of revenge against media he dislikes, having sued magazines that claimed he dyed his hair and rumored of a romantic relationship with a female bodyguard.

The film airs at a time when advisers have told the chancellor he needs to be more charming to counter low popularity ratings.
