Subscribe | UPI Odd Newsletter Subscribe STORD, Norway, June 4 (UPI) -- A Norwegian lawyer fought off an 85-year-old client who allegedly tried to splash poison in his eyes before hitting him, Aftenposten reported Friday. The elderly pensioner thought attorney Audvald Kvamme lied in court while representing the man's son in a property dispute, officials said. Advertisement The elderly man mixed turpentine into a soda bottle through a hole in the cap, and turned up at the lawyer's office demanding Kvamme read some documents. Suddenly the old man whipped out the bottle and began emptying its contents towards the lawyer's face and body, the Norwegian language Bergens Tidende newspaper said. The senior citizen, who lives in Scotland, also landed a punch in the face before the lawyer sprang up and overpowered his elderly assailant. A court ordered the man to pay a $750 fine and $700 in compensation.
