The oversignt means that Harris's vote in the Longboat Key election in March was not counted. Some critics -- Democrats who believe Harris gave the 2000 election to George W. Bush and still remember the fights over dimpled and pregnant chads -- might say that has a certain rightness. Advertisement Harris, now a Republican congresswoman, told the Sarasota Herald-Tribune that she was in a hurry to catch a plane to Washington when she filled out her ballot and gave it to her husband to mail.
