Yediot Aharonot reports the cadet, a member of the Nahal infantry battalion, was seen on the base kissing a woman soldier.

The soldier told Col. Gal Hirsch, the commander of the officer's school, she has been the soldier's long-time girl friend. Hirsh nevertheless expelled him for breaking discipline.

Col. Noam Tibon, Nahal Brigade's commander, protested the decision to Ground forces' commander, Maj. Gen. Yiftah Ron-Tal.

"It's just a couple that met during his stay (in that school)... like many senior officers and their wives," Tibon said.
