The survey, conducted by Yellow Pages, found that: "Remember that age and treachery will always triumph over youth and ability" was more recognized than "Brevity is the soul of wit," the Daily Telegraph reports. Advertisement While only 10 percent identified "Now is the winter of our discontent" from Richard III, a third recognized Brent's utterance, "Accept that some days you are the pigeon and some days you are the statue" from the BBC comedy. The survey, which included tests of Wordsworth's poetry versus Darth Vader lines, and singers Will Smith's and Will Young's lyrics against Shakespeare, did find people more familiar with Edward Lear than J.K. Rowling. It was compiled to publicize the Words Worth Reading event on March 19, when more than 175,000 children will simultaneously recite Wordsworth's Daffodils.
