NEW YORK, Jan. 12 (UPI) -- For a new product launch, Dick Clark will release a roll of toilet paper down a 30-foot pole to "roll in" the New Year in New York's Times Square Tuesday.

Clark, who traditionally launches the New Year's festive countdown as a brightly lit ball descends to strike midnight, will release a roll of Quilted Northern toilet paper instead. He will also announce his all-time top 10 bathroom-themed "soft rock and roll" songs and revealing results of the Quilted Northern 2004 Bathroom Confidential report, a survey of celebrity and consumer bathroom habits.

"I've participated in many Times Square celebrations, but never one like this," admitted Clark, who will name "She Came in Through the Bathroom Window" as his No. 1 favorite song with a bathroom connection.

Clark also let it slip he likes to roll his paper "over" not "under."

The Bathroom Confidential report reveals 63 percent of us leave the door open when we're home alone. But when we go to others' homes, most of us resist the urge to go through someone else's medicine cabinets, with only 38 percent admitting to sneaking a peek.
