PORN REALITY TV SHOW
Television's latest reality program will feature 28 women who will vie to become a porn star, win a contract with an adult video distributor and $100,000 in cash.
The host of the show is slated to be Mary Carey, the porn star who challenged Arnold Schwarzenegger and others in the California governor's race, Britain's Sky News reports.
Silhouette Productions says it will broadcast seven one-hour shows on pay-for-view TV in January and promises "uninhibited nudity and sizzling sexuality."
Four women appear each week in photo shoots and interviews and the audience gets to vote via the show's Web site on the finalists.
CELL PHONES COULD PICK UP THOUGHTS
Making a cell phone call in the future could be done by clicking fingers and putting a forefinger in a person's ear.
Called Finger Whisper, by Japan's cell phone company NTT DoCoMo, the phone is built into a narrow strap worn on the wrist like a watch.
Sound waves are converted into vibrations by electronics, which are carried through the bones of the hand to the ear so that the Finger Whisper user can hear the other caller, the London Telegraph reports.
The eventual goal, according to Japanese newspaper the Nikkei Weekly, is to analyze brain waves, however, there's a risk that cell phone users could inadvertently pass on their inner thoughts to whom they are speaking.
SPIDERMAN ARRESTED IN LONDON
A man dressed as Spiderman finally climbed down from atop the 36-yard crane by London's Tower bridge that he has occupied for the past six days.
David Chick climbed the crane to draw attention to fathers' rights after his former partner had blocked access to their 4-year-old daughter despite a court order giving him visitation rights, reports the London Guardian.
Once down he was arrested for causing a public nuisance.
City officials were unhappy since the protest was in the same place as illusionist David Blaine's stunt that recently caused traffic chaos for more then a month.
Police say the 36-year-old father's protest had cost taxpayers about $17,000 a day.
PISTOL-PACKING SENIOR GETS MUGGED
An 80-year-old New York City man is facing gun charges after a mugger beat him and stole his Social Security money, say police.
Lester Campbell, a retired security guard, carried a hidden, unlicensed .38-caliber handgun when he cashed his $262 Social Security check, police tell the New York Post.
The mugger allegedly followed him into his building and attacked him in the elevator.
Campbell pulled out the gun, they tangled. The mugger got hold of the gun and allegedly fired a single shot into the elevator and then fled.
