"It was an extremely offending remark directed not only against Saduharu Oh but to professional baseball in general," one official fumed. The club said none of its playing staff will be available for shows aired on Fuji Television Network channels until the matter is resolved.

The controversial toilet seat, which was modeled in the shape of Oh's face and was designed to spray water from his mouth, was featured during a sketch mocking shopping channels during a comedy show.

Oh hit 868 home runs during his distinguished playing career with the Tokyo Giants. No other professional baseball player in the world has been a more prolific home run hitter than Oh.
