Luther Vandross undergoes tracheotomy

NEW YORK, April 29 (UPI) -- R&B singer Luther Vandross remained in a coma Tuesday, his recovery from a stroke complicated by a case of pneumonia that forced him to undergo a tracheotomy. The Grammy-winning singer's business manager, Carmen Romano, said surgeons managed to perform the operation without damaging Vandross' vocal cords.
