After four years of work, involving more than 60 students over eight semesters, Professor Bill Gaines says they've identified the anonymous source who helped two Washington Post reporters expose the Watergate scandal.

The informer, they say, is Fred Fielding, a lawyer who was first assistant to John Dean, chief counsel to President Richard Nixon at a time of the Watergate break-in in 1972.

"Everything that we have, we show there's a document," Gaines said. Unlike many previous speculations on the source's identity, "it's not interpretation, it's not guesswork."

LOTTERY WINNER FINDS SON

British taxi driver Robert Frazer, 58, who won about $22 million in the lottery also has found his son, with whom he lost contact six years ago.

Frazer had appealed to his son Alan to get in touch -- promising he would make him a millionaire.

Son Alan, 35, a car mechanic in Staffordshire, told the Sun newspaper he had been "shocked" to hear of his father's win but wanted to see him.

"It's a massive shock. It's quite scary. I'd love to join him for a cold beer," the son said.

INTERNET 'SEX COURT' CASE COULD RETURN

The New York Post reports Mario Calvalluzzo, who operated sexcourt.com on Internet, is seeking a new trial after he settled with Playboy over use of the name Sex Court.

The paper reports Calvalluzzo didn't realize the jury was on his side and was scared into making a deal because of threats by Brooklyn federal Judge Raymond Dearie to have his lawyer disbarred.

Defense attorney John Bostany received a severe reprimand during a tirade by Dearie just hours before Calvalluzzo agreed to settle for a sum less than Playboy's initial offer of $250,000.

It was a fraction of his $1.8 million demand by Calvalluzzo in his lawsuit, according to court papers.

WAREHOUSE DENTIST BUSTED

Omar Garcia, 42, of Miami, has been arrested for practicing dentistry without a license -- in a warehouse.

The Miami Herald says Garcia is charged with practicing without a license, possession of drugs and possession of dental equipment by an unlicensed practitioner.

Garcia was arrested after an undercover detective went into the warehouse office complaining of dental problems.

Once arrangements were made to have dental work performed, Garcia was arrested.
