ADKINS' NEW SONG GOES TO RADIO
Trace Adkins' new single, "Then They Do," is being released to radio stations Monday with a message about how parents watch their kids grow up.
The song, which is on Adkins' "Greatest Hits" album being released in June, describes parent-child relationships and how -- all too often -- kids grow up too fast, says his Web site, traceadkins.com.
Fans are asked to share their own parenting experiences by posting their stories at thentheydo.com for possible publication in an upcoming book.
CMT HONORS TOP 40 MEN IN COUNTRY MUSIC
Country Music Television on March 28 will air a three-hour special, "CMT 40 Greatest Men of Country Music" to honor men who have made great contributions to all genres of music.
The show will feature film of performances, historic photos and the music the artists have made over the years.
The tribute also includes interviews with Shania Twain, Garth Brooks, Faith Hill, Sheryl Crow, Melissa Etheridge, Merle Haggard, actor John Corbett, talk show host Jay Leno and other celebrities.
The documentary will be hosted by Emmy Award-winning actress Megan Mullally of NBC's "Will & Grace."
TIM TEAMS WITH RED CROSS
Tim McGraw plans to give a cut of his tour proceeds to local chapters of the American Red Cross.
Funds raised from ticket sales and selected tour merchandise will benefit Red Cross chapters in the 50 U.S. cities where McGraw's tour "Tim McGraw & The Dancehall Doctors' One Band Show" plays.
The tour kicked off Friday in Birmingham, Ala.
"We are living in a time where people need to stick together and help one another," McGraw said in a statement on his Web site, timmcgraw.com. "We need to be prepared for any crisis that might present itself and we need to do our part in banding together."
