VINCE GOES HOME TO DEDICATE DOME

Vince Gill takes his hosting skills home to Oklahoma next month to emcee the dedication of the new dome atop the state capitol in Oklahoma City.

The Nov. 16 event, which marks the 95th anniversary of Oklahoma's statehood, comes 10 days after Gill hosts the Country Music Association awards show for the 11th consecutive year.

Gill's wife, honorary Oklahoman Amy Grant, and two other natives -- country music artist Bryan White and songwriter Jimmy Webb -- also are scheduled to perform at the dedication, Gov. Frank Keating's Web site said.

The veteran blues artist will star with Kix Brooks of Brooks & Dunn, Pam Tillis, Suzy Bogguss, Lee Roy Parnell, Jim Lauderdale and Rodney Crowell as the "Dude from Houston," McClinton's publicist says.

NASCAR driver Dale Earnhardt's widow, Teresa, also appears in the video.

McClinton plays a bartender in a Texas honky tonk, with the guest stars singing the chorus.

The song is on McClinton's "Room To Breathe" album, which debuted on five Billboard charts this month -- No. 1 on Billboard's blues album chart.

WOMACK'S CHRISTMAS ALBUM ALL ABOUT ROMANCE

Lee Ann Womack releases her first Christmas album, "Season For Romance," next Oct. 29.

She says everyone knows what Christmas is about, but she wanted to show a "whole other element" to the holidays with the album.

"I have always thought Christmas had this romantic side to it, you know?" Womack tells LAUNCH.

The album features two original songs, as well as classics "White Christmas" and "Baby It's Cold Outside."

Womack's current album, "Something Worth Leaving Behind," reached No. 2 on Billboard's country chart and is now No. 19.
