Historian, author Stephen Ambrose dies

BAY ST. LOUIS, Miss., Oct. 13 (UPI) -- Historian and author Stephen Ambrose died early Sunday in a Mississippi hospital of lung cancer, reports said. Ambrose, who wrote on World War II, America's westward expansion and Presidents Dwight D. Eisenhower and Richard Nixon, was 66.
