NEW ACM AWARDS DATE

The Academy of Country Music awards will be presented May 22, not May 21 as previously announced.

Dick Clark, Jo Dee Messina, Terry Bradshaw and Cyndi Thomson will announce the nominees this Thursday in Los Angeles. The 37th annual "Hat" awards will be handed out at the Universal Amphitheatre in L.A. in ceremonies airing CBS-TV.


COVERS, WE GOT COVERS

Alan Jackson is on the cover of the latest issue of "Entertainment Weekly," now on newsstands. CMT.com reports the magazine includes a six-page article on Jackson.

Jackson will appear Monday on NBC's "Today" show, where he'll perform "Where Were You (When the World Stopped Turning)" and "Drive (For Daddy Gene)" live in Rockefeller Plaza.

Meanwhile, the new issue of the "Journal of Country Music" -- published by the Country Music Hall of Fame -- sports the Dixie Chicks on the cover and is devoted to the music of Texas. There's also an interview with Guy and Susanna Clark.
