CLINT BLACK NEWS

Clint Black and wife Lisa Hartman celebrated their 10th anniversary on Saturday, Oct. 20.

Clint returns to the Opry stage on Saturday, Nov. 10, during the Opry's return to the Ryman Auditorium.

Look for Clint and Lisa on the cover of the Nov. 27 issue of Country Weekly magazine due on newstands on Nov. 20.

Clint's first release from his new album is his second duet with Lisa titled "Easy For Me To Say." The video debuted on CMT's "Most Wanted Live" on Oct. 2. The album is scheduled to be released on Nov. 20.

CRYSTAL GAYLE AT NATIVE AMERICAN MUSIC AWARDS

Crystal Gayle was inducted as a Hall of Fame member at the Native American Music Awards show held on Saturday, Oct. 20 at the Sandia Casio Amphitheater in Albuquerque, N.M. The nationally televised special benefited families affected by the World Trade Center disaster.

R. Carlos Nakai received the Lifetime Achievement award and the Neville Brothers were honored as Living Legends.

Gayle with her Cherokee heritage became the first woman to be inducted into the NAMA Hall of Fame. Gayle's current collection of children's lullabies is titled "In My Arms" and is on the Madacy Kids Entertainment Label.

Nakai's career includes over 40 albums, two gold records for "Canyon Trilogy" and "Earth Spirt," several Grammy nominations and multiple Native American Music Awards.

The Neville Brothers, of Cherokee and Choctaw ancestry, carry the torch of their native New Orleans' rich R & B legacy and appear on the soundtrack for the documentary Black Indians.


ATTENTION SHANIA FANS

Mercury Nashville will release a new Shania Twain Platinum Collection DVD on Nov. 6 as well as a second DVD later in the month. The first, titled "The Specials" will contain the two CBS specials, Winter Break and Come On Over. Shania's performances with Elton John and the Back Street Boys on "Winter Break" and with Troy Aikman and the Dallas Cowboy Cheerleaders from "Come On Over" are included.

Look for a new Shania CD, "The Complete Limelight Sessions" in stores Oct. 23. The CD contains 17 remixed songs from Shania's early recordings in the 1980s as well as six new songs never before heard including "The Heart Is Blind."


TOUCHED BY TOBY

Toby Keith will appear on the CBS series "Touched by an Angel" on Nov. 10. Keith plays a performer at a 10-year high school reunion during which a wealthy businessman and a famous football player revisit their past.

Country star Tim McGraw will host his 8th Annual Celebrity Softball Challenge and Concert, Swampstock 2001, on Sunday, Oct. 28 in Rayville, La.
