On the New York jazz scene, Carnegie Hall presents a celebration of 40 years of Bossa Nova tonight with Gal Costa, Dori Caymmi, Jane Monheit, Cesar Camargo Mariano, Romero Lubambo, Filo Machado, Richard Galliano and Paula Robinson. Saxophonist Dave Liebman's Group is in the Monday night spotlight at the Blue Note. The Toshiko Akiyoshi Jazz Orchestra featuring Lew Tabackin is at Birdland.
