JER99081104 - 11 AUGUST 1999 - JERUSALEM, ISRAEL: An Israeli indirectly watches the last major solar eclipse of the 20th. century, August 11, 1999, in Jerusalem by using a pinhole technique. Israelis were warned to not look directly at the eclipse without special protection. The eclipse's high point in Israel lasted nearly three minutes with a 80 percent coverage of the sun by the moon.
