ATLANTA BRAVES BOBBY COX WINS NATIONAL LEAGUE MANAGER OF THE YEAR
Atlanta Braves manager Bobby Cox has been voted National League Manager of the Year according to the voting by the Baseball Writers of America on November 10, 2004. Cox beat out St. Louis Cardinals manager Tony LaRussa, 140 points to 62 points, although the Cardinals won 105 games to the Braves' 96 games. Writers say Cox did more with less.
