CANADIAN FEDERAL ELECTION - PAUL MARTIN
Incumbent Prime Minister of Canada Paul Martin bids adieu to his Liberal Party leadership on election night in his electoral district of Lasalle-Emard in Montreal on January 23, 2006. The Liberal Party took 103 parliamentary seats as it was defeated by the Conservative Party with 124 seats to form a new minority government.
