THE SOLAR ECLIPSE IN GAZA

THE SOLAR ECLIPSE IN GAZA
Palestinian youths watch a partial solar eclipse at the Rafah refugee camp in the southern Gaza Strip, on March 29, 2006. Tens of millions of people were treated today to a spine-tingling celestial sight, a total eclipse of the Sun. Countries whose territory lies directly on this path were Brazil, Ghana, Togo, Benin, Nigeria, Niger, Chad, Libya, Egypt, Greece, Turkey, Georgia, Russia, Kazakhstan and Mongolia, where the eclipse ended at 1148 GMT.
