THE SOLAR ECLIPSE IN GAZA

THE SOLAR ECLIPSE IN GAZA
Palestinian youths watches a partial solar eclipse using binoculars covered with black paper at the Rafah refugee camp in the southern of Gaza Strip on March 29, 2006. Millions of people saw the eclipse from Brazil to Mongolia. Total eclipses are rare as they require the sun, moon and earth to line up exactly so that the moon obscures the sun. The next total eclipse will occur in 2008. (UPI Photo/Ismael Mohamad)
