Will Smith receives 2002 Oscar Award nomination for Best Actor
WAX2002021205 - NEW YORK - Feb. 12 (UPI) -- Actor Will Smith shown in a June 2001 file photo received a 2002 Oscar Award nomination for Best Actor for his work in the film, "Ali." Will Smith and Denzel Washington who is nominated for the film Training Day became the first African American actors to compete against each other in the Oscar catagory of Best Actor.
