FTL2003031105- Fort Lauderdale, Fla., March 11 - The St. Louis Cardinals' Albert Pujols snags a ground ball against the Baltimore Orioles in Fort Lauderdale, Fla., on March 11, 2003. The Orioles beat the Cardinals 4-0. On March 10, Pujols agreed to terms with the Cardinals on the richest one-year contract ever for a player with fewer than three years of Major League experience. The Associated Press reported that the deal is worth $900,000. Pujols made $600,000 in 2002. Pujols is off to a superb start this spring, with four homers and a Grapefruit League-leading 15 RBIs in 10 games. He has hit safely in every game in which he has played. rlw/sr/Scott Rovak UPI
