Canada's Governor General welcomes Japan's Imperial Couple

Emperor Akihito of Japan, with Empress Michiko and Governor General Michaelle Jean, plants a commemorative Canadian hemlock tree at Rideau Hall on July 6, 2009. The Imperial Couple is visiting Canada to mark the 80th anniversary of diplomatic relations between Canada and Japan.
