SATELLITE MAP SHOW NEW ORLEANS UNDER WATER
IKONOS satellite photo released and collected by Space Imaging shows the French Quarter (Vieux Carre) in the exact center of the image and relatively dry in New Orleans. Most of the city was inundated with water from Lake Pontchartrain after levees were breached. The Superdome can be seen to the lower left of the image and Convention Center along the river at center just below the French Quarter. The Mississippi River Bridge at lower center heads to New Orleans West Bank that is also relatively dry. MANDATORY CREDIT: SPACE IMAGING (UPI Photo/IKONOS/Space Imaging)
