50TH ANNIVERSARY OF BROWN VS. BOARD OF EDUCATION OF TOPKEA

This decision (page 1 of 2) by the Supreme Court in Brown vs. the Board of Education of Topeka from May of 1954 was delivered by Chief Justice Earl Warren who stated "in the field of public education the doctrine of 'separate but equal' has no place. Separate educational facilities are inherently unequal." This and other documents about the case will be on display to the public at the National Archives in Washington from April 16 to July 5.
