JOHN GLENN'S ATTACKER, MICHAEL J. BREEN IS HAULED AWAY BY POLICE
While Senator John Glenn, D-Ohio, holds his jaw, Michael J. Breen, is hauled away by police after Breen slugged Glenn on the jaw on October 25, 1989. Glenn was taping a television interview following a tree-planting ceremony at the Smithsonian Institution when Breen attacked him. Gleen was not seriously hurt. Breen has been charged with assaulting a member of Congress, a federal offense. (UPI/File)
