Tyne Daly, Clint Eastwood's new leading lady in The Enforcer

December 21, 1976: HOLLYWOOD: Playing Clint Eastwood's leading lady is tantamount to becoming the invisible woman. One may recall leading ladies in movies with Gary Cooper, Humphrey Bogart, Richard Burton, or Clark Gable. But Eastwood never lets a leading lady become too familiar with him. The latest of his costars is Tyne Daly, an Irish brunette who plays a lady cop in "The Enforcer.” She hopes that in spite of the obscurity of Clint's leading ladies, her role will launch her on the road to stardom.
