ACTOR MARLON BRANDO DIES AT 80 IN LOS ANGELES
Jay Kanter, a former agent and long-time friend of actor Marlon Brando departs after reading a statement July 2, 2004, outside the Brando estate in Los Angeles. Kanter said Brando died peacefully of lung failure Thursday afternoon at UCLA Medical Center. Brando, the reclusive, Oscar-winning star of 'On the Waterfront' and 'The Godfather' and one of the most influential actors of his generation, died at age 80, associates said July 2, 2004.
