Fight between Curtis Cokes and Gypsy Joe Harris goes on as scheduled in Dallas

Dallas Boxing promoter Kenneth Hayles said in Dallas tonight the World Welterweight Championship fight between Curtis Cokes and Gypsy Joe Harris is still scheduled for July 24, 1967. An Austin Judge ruled that the Texas State Boxing Commission could not stop the fight from being held as scheduled. Commissioner Charles King had cancelled the fight earlier this week.
