Nadaam Festival opens in Inner Mongolia

The annual Mongolian Nadaam Festival, featuring various Mongolian ethnic groups, nomads and wrestlers in traditional garb, opens in Bairin Right Banner of Chifeng city, a small city in the northern Chinese province of Inner Mongolia on July 22, 2014. Nadaam, which means "entertainment and games" in Mongolian, begins with an elaborate ceremony featuring traditional dancers, archers, strong athletes, horse trainers and musicians before competitions in archery, wrestling, costume shows and horse racing begin.
