Princeton professor Dr. Cornel West addresses a town hall gathering as part of the Smiley and West Poverty Tour at the Wilshire Boulevard Temple in Los Angeles on October 9, 2011. Television talk show host Tavis Smiley and West used the eleven-state, 18-city event to both highlight the struggle of the nation's poor as well as criticize President Obama. The tour is scheduled for broadcast Monday, October 10 through Friday, October 14 on the PBS program "Tavis Smiley", as part of a five part series. UPI/Jim Ruymen
