Chinese worshippers leave the Xishiku Church, originally built in 1703 and named the "Church of the Saviour" by Emperor Kangxi of the Qing Dynasty, and which is the largest Roman Catholic Church in Beijing, September 12, 2010. There are five recognized religions by the government in China, namely Buddhism, Taoism, Islam, Catholicism and Protestantism. Each are, to varying degrees, controlled by the government.
