Asteroid Flies past Earth

Asteroid 2005 YU55 will pass close to the to Earth inside the Moon's orbit at approximately 200,000 miles on November 8, 2011. NASA's Deep Space Network antenna in Goldstone, California captured this radar image of the asteroid on November 7th at 1945UTC (2:45 p.m. EST) when it was approximately 860,000 miles (1.38 million kilometers) away from Earth.
