Carnival Splendor Cruise Ship Lies Dead in the Water

The cruise ship Carnival Splendor lies dead in the water in the Pacific Ocean some 150 nautical miles southwest of San Diego, California on November 9, 2010. An engine room fire on November 8th killed the ships power and set it adrift. Tugs are expected to bring the ship to San Diego on Thursday, November 11. UPI/Dylan McCord/U.S. Navy
