Baby Panda Cub is Given Its First Neonatal Exam in Washington, DC
In this photo released by the Smithsonian National Zoo, Mei Ziang's cub is given its first neonatal exam by the panda team at the zoo in Washington, DC on August 25, 2013. The two-day-old cub is robust, fully formed and is a bright, healthy shade of pink. It weighs 4.8 ounces (137 grams) and the panda teams says all signs point to a "very healthy, active, vibrant cub."
