Golden Gate Bridge turns 75

Fourteen hundred pairs of shoes are placed in an exhibit during the celebration of the 75th anniversary of the Golden Gate Bridge in San Francisco on May 27, 2012. The shoes represent the 1,558 known suicides that have jumped from the bridge. The exhibitors urge a suicide barrier be installed on he bridge. UPI/Terry Schmitt
