The world's second tallest and longest sailing ship the Esmeralda a Chilean navy training vessel which arrived at North Vancouver, British Columbia's Lonsdale Quay yesterday is open for two afternoons of onboard visits from the public who must pass a gauntlet of protestors beginning today, August 7, 2011. The Esmeralda's five day stopover in Vancouver during a world tour is being met by demonstrators from the city's Chilean community who allege the ship was used as a "floating concentration camp" holding political prisoners of dictator Augusto Pinochet.
