UN Contingent Secures Site for Ivorians Displaced by Post-Electoral Fighting
The Moroccan contingent of the UN Operation in Ivory Coast (UNOCI) secures a site in Duékoué on March 30, 2011, in the western Moyen-Cavally region of Ivory Coast, where displaced persons have decamped. The area has been plunged into crisis since fighting erupted between military forces loyal to former Ivorian President Laurent Gbagbo and supporters of the internationally-recognized new president, Alassane Ouattara.
