NATIONAL AIR AND SPACE MUSEUM OPENS NEW SITE
The B-29 Superfortress, the "Enola Gay", is one of the primary planes displayed at the newly opened National Air and Space Museum's Steven Udvar-Hazy Center on December 15, 2003 in Chantilly, Virginia. This plane is controversial because it delivered the atom bomb during World War II, and many Japanese Americans and Japanese nationals oppose it's presence in the museum. Today was the grand opening of the new Smithsonian building..(UPI Photo/Michael Kleinfeld)
