Ralston Purina may be sold to Nestles
SLP2001011507 - 15 JANUARY 2001 - ST. LOUIS, MISSOURI, USA: The Wall Street Journal has reported that Ralston Purina, maker of pet foods, may be sold to the Nestles Company, January 15, 2001. The Nestles Company, owner of 12 per cent of the dog food market, may offer as much as $10 billion for the St. Louis based company, possibly by the end of this week.
