Cats rescued in Missouri
SLP2002030804 - ST. LOUIS, Mo., March 8 (UPI) -- Humane Society emergency room vet tech, Susan Kimber, examines the teeth of Rowdy, a one-year-old Himalayan male cat, that was rescued from a breeders property in St. Francis County, Mo., after the Humane Society discovered the cats living in filth and poor conditions, in St. Louis, Mo., on March 8, 2002. Twenty six cats were rescued while 11 died. Most suffer from upper respiratory problems, matted fur, ear infections and with Rowdy, a leg that was being eaten by other cats.
