Beer festival opens in Qingdao

Chinese police change shifts at the annual Qingdao International Beer Festival in the coastal city Qingdao, a major city in eastern Shandong Province, on August 17, 2014. Billed as one of the top beer and cultural festivals in Asia, hundreds of thousands of Chinese and foreign merrymakers will get their fill of bratwursts, beer and international performances until the end of August.
